Why not enjoy a series of seasonal strolls through the streets of Dickensian London over the festive period in 2024?
Dickens, more than any other Victorian, was responsible for laying out a blueprint as to how Christmas should be celebrated and the Dickens walks over the Christmas period will take in some of the ways in which he influenced the festive period.
So, in addition to the usual fascinating insights that these tours provide into the life, times and works of Charles Dickens, we'll also take a look at how a Victorian Christmas was kept and which innovations were down to Mr. Dickens himself.
The walks will take place in the lead up to Christmas and will continue over the period after Boxing Day (oh incidentally, Richard will tell you all about the origins of Boxing Day) and leading up to New Year.
