The 32Red Winter Festival is a must for any jump fans during the festive season.
It’s clear to see why the 32Red Winter Festival is the jewel in Kempton Park’s crown. Boasting 12 top quality jump races over two days, it’s the mid season Jump racing event you simply can’t afford to miss. Boxing Day is an absolute treat for top quality racing with no less than three Grade 1 races including the Christmas Hurdle, Kauto Star Novices’ Chase and the 32Red King George VI Steeple Chase. Won in 2016 by Colin Tizzard trained Thistlecrack, the race is steeped in history and has an impressive list of previous champions with the likes of Arkle, Desert Orchid and five time winner Kauto Star taking their place on the roll of honour.
Day two of the 32Red Winter Festival offers a six race card to savour. Highlights include the Grade 2 Wayward Lad Novice’s Steeple Chase and the Desert Orchid Chase which has offered some spectacular winners over the past few years including Sire de Grugy, Sprinter Sacre and Special Tiara.
Day two of the 32Red Winter Festival is geared towards the little ones in the family. If you’re looking for a great day of racing but minus the huge crowds of Boxing Day - the 27th December has it all. Enjoy the thrilling on track action whilst off the track there is a host of free entertainment for the family including a festive pantomime, fairground rides, face painting and music.
