As we edge closer to the ‘most wonderful time of the year’, we are delighted to unveil ‘The Spirit of Christmas’, the theme behind this year’s Christmas lights installation.

Set to be bigger and more twinkling than ever, the stunning showcase will light up the whole of W1, making this the biggest parade of Christmas lights in the capital.

Running the length of Regent Street and across Piccadilly into St James’s, finishing at Waterloo Place, this iconic stretch of London’s streets will be united for the festive period, truly bringing the spirit of Christmas to life.

The theme has been chosen to embrace the true meaning of the yuletide period, with giving, celebration and community at its core. It’s also a nod to Regent Street’s rich festive heritage, as it was the first ever street to display a central London Christmas lights scheme back in 1954.

Whilst the incredible display of 300,000 sparkling LED lights will be dressing Regent Street from October, the highly-anticipated switch-on event will be taking place on Thursday 17th November from 6pm.

The street will be closed from early evening for the grand annual switch-on moment, with VIP appearances and live entertainment to be announced.

Add this much anticipated date to your diary and join us in this much-loved Christmas tradition, sure to be fun for the whole family.
