Grab a friend and dance your way through the festive season with us. Bandleader John Bayley presents a mixture of jive, jazz, jump, dancing and humour. Join a ballroom full of accomplished jivers and divers, along with a glittering line-up of musicians. All are welcome, regardless of your skill or dance experience.

Swing, Hop and Shuffle
Start the afternoon with a taster lindy hop class at 3pm, followed by an action-packed social dance of Charleston and swing lessons and demonstrations, and maybe even a dance-off! Accompanied by a mix of recorded music and live jazz, you can dance your socks off in a fun and friendly afternoon for all ages and abilities. Fancy dress is always welcome but not required.

A Vintage New Year's Eve Party
Usher in the New Year at our annual vintage nightclub spectacular as Royal Festival Hall transforms into five floors of immersive entertainment.With five pop-up vintage nightclubs, all tastes are catered for with music from the 1920s through to the 90s, and swing, rock’n'roll, soul, disco, house and cabaret all thrown in for good measure. As always there's stylish dining, a hair and beauty salon, walkabout entertainment, photo studios and a private terrace overlooking the Thames from which to view London's world-famous NYE fireworks.

Featuring a small army of virtuoso musicians from all over the world, it’s a chance to celebrate the New Year through Britain’s rich traditional music history.
