The Esterhazy Singers, conducted by Andrea Brown, present a concert of Carols and Part-Songs, Old and New. The programme features carols by composers Victoria, Howells and Rutter, amongst others.
The choir returns this year to the splendid surroundings of one of Wren’s more expensive churches, St Lawrence Jewry, badly damaged in the Second World War, but happily restored in 1957. From its position in the Yard of Guildhall, it serves as the official church of the Lord Mayor of London and the City Corporation. Carols and part-songs ranging from the sixteenth century to the present day, readings and audience carols and some festive fare too, will get you into the Christmas spirit.
This concert is supporting Richard House Children's Hospice. Richard House Children's Hospice, based in East London, provides palliative care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across London.
