The Silver Line, is hosting Carols by Candlelight, an evening to start the festive season at the beautiful and atmospheric, St Bartholomew the Great - London's oldest surviving church.
There will be music and carols from the talented Wall of Sound Choir, and seasonal readings from celebreties Dame Esther Rantzen, Nicholas Parsons, Susanna Reid and Miriam Margoyles.
All proceeds will go The Silver Line charity. The Silver Line, founded by Dame Esther Rantzen nearly three years ago, is the only national helpline open 24-hours a day, every day and night of the year - including Christmas Day. The helpline offers friendship, advice and information to isolated and lonely older people and has already taken over one million calls.
