3 December 2020, 19.00
A live-streamed performance of Handel’s Messiah direct from St George’s Church, Hanover Square and broadcast via Youtube. Soloists, the London Handel Orchestra and Director Laurence Cummings will be performing live from Handel’s church, while the choruses have all been pre-recorded.
The Rodolfus Choir will sing three choruses: And He Shall Purify, His Yoke Is Easy and The Lord Gave the Word; and will be joined by the Huddersfield Choral Society; North London Chorus and Finchley Choral Society; Pimlico Music Foundation and Tiffin Boys Schools Choirs; and the Kings College London Choir. A sixth newly formed international ‘Sing at Home’ Choir will also take part. The Choruses will be integrated into the live elements to create a seamless, never-seen-before performance of this great work. Our very own Matt Norris and Alex James will be editors-in-chief for the whole project.
17 December 2020, 18.00
