The inaugural Children's Air Ambulance Carols by Candlelight service will be held in the beautiful Holy Trinity Sloane Square on Sloane Street, London, and will feature a host of famous faces.
The traditional service will include readings by Mr Debonair himself, Strictly Come Dancing's Anton du Beke; star of screen and stage, best known as Dorien in Birds of a Feather Lesley Joseph; West End darling and former EastEnders favourite Kara Tointon; and the voice of BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour Jane Garvey.
Joining them will be 15-year-old rising star of the classical music world Katie Marshall, who has appeared alongside the likes of Julian Ovenden on the Downton Abbey Christmas CD, Britain’s Got Talent's Jonathan Antoine as soloist on his tour, G4 on their Christmas tour and André Rieu's soprano, Mirusia Louwerse.
Sharing the stage with Katie will be pupils from London’s Garden House School and Francis Holland School SW1, who will also be performing during the evening.
After the concert, mulled wine and mince pies will be served inside the church.
The national Children’s Air Ambulance flies critically ill children across the UK so they can get the treatment they need. The charity receives no government funding and relies on public donations.
